Randstad are partnering with an established civil contractor specialising in critical energy and water infrastructure projects in the Sth east Melbourne and serving the Gippsland Region from Morwell.

🔨 Role Requirements & Expectations
This is a site-based position requiring a commitment to safety and quality project delivery, reporting directly to the Director and Operations Manager.

You will possess the following experience and be responsible for:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, ideally within the civil construction sector, with exposure to energy or water infrastructure projects up to $5 million.

• You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project performance, including scheduling, budget, quality control, and successful completion of project milestones.

• Taking a leading role on site, driving the daily execution and technical aspects of civil construction works.

• Must have a strong technical background and understanding of civil construction methodologies, standards, and safety regulations.

• Serving as a primary point of contact, maintaining strong relationships and effective liaison with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Championing a culture of safety, ensuring rigorous adherence to all safety protocols and managing site safety operations. A demonstrated commitment to safety excellence is required.

• Must be a locally based candidate or willing to relocate to the Gippsland region (no DIDO arrangement on offer).
